Daily care of leather horse tack is very important. It allows the tack to remain durable, and therefore safe. The ideal option is to clean and condition horse tack after each use to remove leather-destroying salts from sweat, dirt and grease, under which the leather can begin to rot. Tack daily maintenance take just a 10 minutes but safe it for years. It is recommended to thoroughly clean the leather once every 5-7 uses, i.e. about once a week.

  1. To correctly clean of the item, you first need to completely disassemble it and clean each strap. First, clean the leather with a damp cloth to remove sweat and dirt. Do not wet the leather too much unless absolutely necessary. This can cause stretching of its fibers and, as a result, its structural damage.

If you notice damage to the threads or leather, then you should immediately repair the product. Using a damaged product can be very dangerous for you and your horse or dog.
